Befriending
Feeling lonely or isolated?
Companionship and support to people who may be feeling lonely. Regular contact with a trained volunteer, to enjoy a friendly conversation, share interests and build confidence to reconnect.
Providing support, connection, and practical help to make life a little brighter and easier for older people and those with disabilities or additional needs in North East Northamptonshire.
Founded in 1995, VA serves communities across North East Northamptonshire. Our office is based in Oundle, where we provide support to communities stretching from Thrapston in the South, to Easton-on-the-Hill in the North. From Hemington in the East to Brigstock in the West, including the Towns market towns of Oundle and Thrapston.

Our Mission Statement
Goal
To maintain the independence and improve the quality of life for people aged 65 and over and those registered disabled, within the North East Northamptonshire community.
Focus
To make an impact on those in the community by providing the opportunity to volunteer and improve the lives of rurally isolated people.
Services
The Charity offers a Community Car Scheme, Befriending Schemes, Social Activities and other Services tailored to residents’ needs, helping these individuals to live more independently and with a better quality of life.
