Befriending

What is Befriending?

Befriending offers companionship and support to people who may be feeling lonely or isolated. Through regular contact with a trained volunteer, individuals can enjoy a friendly conversation, share interests, and build confidence to reconnect with their community. Unlike professional care, befriending focuses on simple human connection—providing a listening ear, encouragement, and genuine friendship to improve wellbeing and reduce isolation.

We provide support to those aged over 65 years of age who live within East North Northamptonshire. Including Oundle, Thrapston and surrounding villages.
